{"id":3453,"date":"2021-01-14T05:51:54","date_gmt":"2021-01-14T12:51:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/airwoof.org\/journey\/?p=3453"},"modified":"2021-01-13T16:16:36","modified_gmt":"2021-01-13T23:16:36","slug":"stand-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/airwoof.org\/journey\/?p=3453","title":{"rendered":"stand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cStand firm in the Lord&#8230;\u201d (Philippians 4:1) \u201cStand firm in the will of God\u2026\u201d (Colossians 4:12) \u201cStand firm and do not let yourselves be burdened by the yoke of slavery\u2026\u201d (Galatians 5:1) \u201cIt is the gospel on which you have taken your stand\u2026\u201d (I Corinthians 15:1) \u201cIt is by faith you stand firm\u2026\u201d (II Corinthians 1:24) \u201cResist the devil, standing firm in the faith\u2026\u201d (I Peter 5:9) \u201cStand fast in the grace of God\u2026\u201d (I Peter 5:12)<\/p>\n<p>There are more instructions to stand, but here is a passage from Paul that lifts our eyes to the One on the throne: \u201cNow it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set His seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.\u201d (II Corinthians 1:21-23)<\/p>\n<p>Look what God has done! \u201cIt is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus\u2026\u201d (I Corinthians 1:21) \u201cBecause of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions\u00a0\u2014 it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus\u2026\u201d (Ephesians 2:4-6)<\/p>\n<p>God wants us to see and believe what He has done, what He is doing, and what He has promised to do. He reveals His truth and we can stand confidently in His Word:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I make you stand firm in Christ<\/li>\n<li>I have anointed you<\/li>\n<li>I have set My seal of ownership on you<\/li>\n<li>I have put My Spirit in your heart<\/li>\n<li>I have guaranteed what is to come<\/li>\n<li>I have made you alive in My Son<\/li>\n<li>I have saved you by My grace<\/li>\n<li>I have raised you up with Christ<\/li>\n<li>I have seated you with Me in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2018Praise God from whom all blessings flow\u2026\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.\u201d Romans 5:1-2<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBe patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord\u2019s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord\u2019s coming is near. Don\u2019t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged.
