{"id":3264,"date":"2020-03-12T05:47:30","date_gmt":"2020-03-12T11:47:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/airwoof.org\/journey\/?p=3264"},"modified":"2020-03-12T05:48:37","modified_gmt":"2020-03-12T11:48:37","slug":"new-wine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/airwoof.org\/journey\/?p=3264","title":{"rendered":"new wine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brooke Ligertwood, a member of Hillsong United, wrote a song called <em>New Wine<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p>In the crushing; in the pressing<br \/>\nYou are making new wine<br \/>\nIn the soil, I now surrender<br \/>\nYou are breaking new ground<br \/>\nSo I yield to You and Your careful hand<br \/>\nWhen I trust You, I don\u2019t need to understand<br \/>\nMake me a vessel; make me an offering,<br \/>\nMake me whatever You want me to be<br \/>\nI came here with nothing; but all You have given me,<br \/>\nJesus bring new wine out of me.<br \/>\nWhere there is new wine, there is new power,<br \/>\nThere is new freedom, the Kingdom is near<br \/>\nI lay down my old flames to carry Your new fire today.<\/p>\n<p>Once we see Jesus is everything and realize He has graciously saved us and placed us in His Body, we realize, as Scripture teaches: all things are in His hands. \u201cApart from Me, you can do nothing.\u201d (John 15:5)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOK, Lord, all I can do is present myself to You and say: \u2018Have Your way.\u2019 You know the purpose of my existence. You know what will bring You glory. I admit my inabilities and trust You completely. Bring forth lasting fruit\u2026 pleasing to You.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The honest prayer of surrender is no small thing. It takes a lifetime for some of us to reach, but it is precious to the ears of God. Out of love, He has purchased us. With perfect attention, He has been molding us into the image of the Son. He receives the offering of \u2018ourselves\u2019 with great joy.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus Himself came to this position. \u201cTherefore, when Christ came into the world, He said: \u2018Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You prepared for Me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings You were not pleased. Then I said \u2018Here I am \u2013 it is written about Me in the scroll\u00a0\u2013 I have come to do Your will, O God.\u2019\u201d (Hebrews 10:5-7)<\/p>\n<p>Though God\u2019s will involved the Cross, the Son completely trusted Himself into the purposes of the Father. \u201cI will do what You show Me; I will teach what You direct; I will drink the Cup You have given Me.
