Between husband and wife:<\/p>\n
Husband:<\/em> How do you think we can best teach our children about God?<\/p>\n Wife:<\/em> I am sure there are many ways, but it seems we all learn best by example. So, if our children can see God in the way we live, perhaps they will learn.<\/p>\n Husband:<\/em> Hmmm… Well, the most important thing to learn about God is that \u201cHe is love.\u201d So, are you saying that if our children see us love each other they will learn about God?<\/p>\n Wife:<\/em> Doesn\u2019t that make sense? That\u2019s why I am to relate to you the way the Church is to relate to Christ\u2026 because I love you. And that\u2019s why you are to love me the way Jesus loves the Church\u2026 enough to lay down His life.<\/p>\n Husband:<\/em> Hmmm… I\u2019ve sure messed up a lot, but I think you are right. \u201cGod, give us grace to love one another with Your love. And may our kids see You and fall in love with You. Amen.\u201d<\/p>\n Between Father, Son, and Spirit:<\/p>\n Father:<\/em> Do you think Our children see the love We have for One Another as the secret to life?<\/p>\n Spirit:<\/em> How can they miss it?<\/p>\n Son:<\/em> That\u2019s what I asked quite often on earth \u2013 how can they miss it? But believe Me, they can miss it. Aren\u2019t so many today missing how much We love them?!<\/p>\n Father:<\/em> If Our children could understand Your relationship and dependence on Us while You were on earth, they could see the path We\u2019ve planned for them. As You allowed the Holy Spirit to lead, You constantly explained to people that You did nothing apart from Me.<\/p>\n Spirit:<\/em> When I led You into the wilderness immediately after You were baptized, We allowed You to experience the temptations Our children face on earth. We knew it would be difficult, but We knew You would remember Your identity and resist the evil one with Your Father\u2019s words. You also knew that facing hard things did not mean You were not loved.<\/p>\n Son:<\/em> No\u2026 Your love sustained Me. On earth, I lived in Your love. The more Our children receive Our love, the more they are sustained. I told them: \u201cRemain in My love; remain in Me.\u201d Won\u2019t You constantly remind Our children to live this way?<\/p>\n Father:<\/em> Yes\u2026 and I want them to see that Our love for One Another is the secret to life. There is no friction or competition or strife between Us. We honor and respect and treasure One Another. As Our children realize this, perhaps they will understand a little more of the prayer You taught: \u201cYour Kingdom come; Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAs the Father has loved Me, so I have loved you. Now remain in My love. If you keep My commands, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father\u2019s commands and remain in His love. I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.\u201d John 15:9-12<\/p>\n \u201cWhen the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father \u2013 the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father \u2013 He will testify about Me.
