We look forward to gathering with family at my parents\u2019 house in Chattanooga. My mom and dad always help make Thanksgiving my favorite holiday of the year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/airwoof.org\/journey\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/owen.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2560\" alt=\"owen\" src=\"https:\/\/airwoof.org\/journey\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/owen.jpg\" width=\"302\" height=\"403\" srcset=\"https:\/\/airwoof.org\/journey\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/owen.jpg 302w, https:\/\/airwoof.org\/journey\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/owen-112x150.jpg 112w, https:\/\/airwoof.org\/journey\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/owen-299x400.jpg 299w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 302px) 100vw, 302px\" \/><\/a>When Taylor was a little boy, Susan\u2019s mom bought him a Cabbage Patch doll named Owen. Susan dad\u2019s name was Robert Owen Taylor and he was known as Owen growing up in Alabama. Susan found the doll in the attic in time for Kinsey and Jordan to visit this past weekend. Two \u2018Baby Owens\u2019 brought a smile to our faces and reminded us of many reasons to be thankful.<\/p>\n<p>We can be thankful for those who are no longer with us but whose lives still influence ours profoundly. We can be thankful for those who have only recently come into this world, with the hopeful expectation of a wonderful future in God\u2019s plan. And we can be thankful for all those God has placed in our lives to love and encourage.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/airwoof.org\/journey\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/karlyn.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2561\" alt=\"karlyn\" src=\"https:\/\/airwoof.org\/journey\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/karlyn.jpg\" width=\"302\" height=\"403\" srcset=\"https:\/\/airwoof.org\/journey\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/karlyn.jpg 302w, https:\/\/airwoof.org\/journey\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/karlyn-112x150.jpg 112w, https:\/\/airwoof.org\/journey\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/karlyn-299x400.jpg 299w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 302px) 100vw, 302px\" \/><\/a>As we give thanks for our precious relationships, we can easily understand why Jesus told such parables as the Prodigal Son to reveal the love of the Father. Such love naturally produces thanksgiving for what is most important. The older brother did not comprehend his father\u2019s emotions or actions. In response to his objections, the father said: \u201cSon, all I have is yours\u2026 I love you too! But I have to celebrate the homecoming of your brother! He\u2019s alive and back where he should be!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>May we grow to love like the Father.
